about

Lobster Mixtape #1 was an apparition pulled when i was stuck in Baltimore for a month working on new recordings, i was huddled in a corner in my friends house and taking tapes out of the bathrooms in this huge punky house. no one could stop me. i took the recording in the beginning is Leonard obviously, and the bumps in the night are to me the consequence of having very charming morals, not the morals of truth or freedom or anything prosaic, but just the incontrovertible nature of charm as a superpower, or mind trick. this is scary to me when applied to morals in music, and that conversation is confusing and fraught, but some morals can be more charming than others, and not necessarily true. its like a quiet storm jazz band full of nazis. its like turgid abrasive sludge played with the goal of release from fetters of time.
